Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series “Pocono 400”

Pocono Raceway hosts Sunday’s Pocono 400, the 14th race of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, which kicks off the second half of the regular season. Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick are the only drivers with multiple wins this season. They’ve combined for 9 victories in the first 13 races. Other race winners are Austin Dillon, Martin Truex, Jr., Joey Logano and Clint Bowyer.

The list of notable drivers looking for their first win of 2018 includes Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Ryan Blaney and Jimmie Johnson. Four drivers from that group have won before at Pocono. Larson and Stenhouse have not.

Busch was victorious the last time NASCAR visited “The Tricky Triangle” last summer. Harvick is still seeking his first win there. He finished 2nd in both races last season, first to Blaney and then to Busch in late July. Busch swept both Pocono poles last season and leads all active drivers there with four. The last to record three straight poles at Pocono was Bill Elliott in 1984 and 1985.
