Chase Elliott Scores Second Win in the Round of 12

Chase Elliott was able to hold off both Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson to bring home the victory on Sunday at Kansas Speedway in the Hollywood Casino 400. The win marked the second victory for Chase in the Round of 12.

After Chip Ganassi Racing lost two sets of appeals for the penalty given toward Kyle Larson last week, Larson was forced into a must-win situation. Larson came close to breaking through to the next round, but was unable to land the win, finishing 3rd. The other three drivers eliminated from Championship contention at the conclusion of this round were Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, and Alex Bowman.

With drivers Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, and Aric Almirola advancing to the Round of 8, Stewart-Haas Racing has all four of its cars advancing. Ford has 5 of the 8 cars left in the playoff field, with Toyota having 2, and Chevy with 1.
