The Illini Bluffs High School girls basketball team got the most votes in from their fans this week and are the FM 95 Hometown Heroes of the Week with Martin, your local John Deere dealer, Advanced Plumbing and Mechanical in Monmouth, and the Regional Office of Education!
The week that the Illini Bluffs girls basketball team won Hometown Heroes they were competing in the State Tournament in Normal, so we didn’t meet with the team until the following Wednesday (3/06). We presented the Tigers with a plaque in their honor for the trophy case and each of the team members got a Hometown Heroes t-shirt from Go Van Gogh’s.
And congratulations on a remarkable season that ended in the Class 1A State Championship game in Normal where they finished IHSA State Runner-Up!! Truly a legacy season for the Illini Bluffs girls basketball team!
