Galesburg Mom Goes To The Capital To Share Her Story & Help Other Parents

Randy & Tracy Palier have two children, Evan & Lily.  Lily was born with a rare disease called SMA or Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  She & her family have come such a long way.  Only 1-11,000 are born with SMA so the Palier’s have had to make connections with other parents to seek understanding.  It’s still a tough battle, but the Parlier’s don’t want other parents to struggle so much when a child is born with a rare disease.  So they went to the capital to meet Illinois State Representative Dan Swanson during Rare Disease Day.  Listen to hear more about the Parlier’s trip to Springfield below…
