Open House and Root Beer Floats

The Pilcrow Foundation, based in Cottage Grove, Oregon, supports rural public library communities
across the US through the Children’s Book Project. Libraries, in partnership with Friends of the Library or other local sponsors, raise one third of the funds to purchase the new books to build community
investment in children’s literacy and the library’s future. The new books provided through the grant
become part of the library’s permanent book collection, ensuring children’s access to quality books for
years to come.
The Friends of Greig Memorial Library will hold a celebration of the new books and recognition of
sponsors and will be serving free root beer floats on the library lawn.
