Frogfest

Frogfest is August 11th in Dahinda, IL 5-8pm

Frogfest is a celebration of frogs. There is food, music, and frog jumping. The event is hosted by the Dahinda Methodist Church. Frog is an acronym for “fully rely on God”.

The music this year is presented by “Mr. and Mrs. Something”. They are returning from Seattle, Washington. They recently cut another album in Los Angeles. Their music is folksy and easy to listen to. Mr. and Mrs. Something is a small band touring the country, promoting their new music. We’re lucky to have them stop by our little neck of the woods.

Frogfest is Americana at it’s finest. Children are giggling and laughing as they coax their frogs across the finish line. There are opportunities to have a picture taken “kissing” a frog. And the pulled pork sandwiches, fried potatoes, sliced tomatoes, and freezer pickles are to die for! Some people love the fried frog legs. (I just can’t eat them after rooting for my favorite frog to cross the finish line.) Come join us… it is fun. Free will donation.
