45th National Stearman Fly-In

7:00 – 9:00 am: Stearman 5K Runway Incursion. Rain or shine, run or walk the runways at Galesburg Municipal Airport.

7:00 – 11:00 am: 43rd Hog Capital of the World Days fly-in breakfast, Kewanee Municipal Airport, Kewanee, IL. Hosted by Kewanee Volunteer Fire Department. All-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage. Adults $5

9:00 am: Daily pilot briefing, Stearman Fly-In seminar tent, Galesburg Municipal Airport.

10:00 am: Galesburg Labor Day Parade fly-over.

6:00 pm: Welcome Picnic for Fly-In participants at Jet Air Hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport. Catered by the Rib Shack, Galesburg. Menu: Pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw. Sponsored by Shotts Auto Machine Shop, Galesburg. Free for Fly-In participants.

7:30 pm: Training in the Stearman, a reminiscence of learning to fly by Capt. Jerry Yellin, an Army Air Corps veteran who fought in World War II. Jet Air hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport. Open to the public.

Activities continuing throughout the day:
Narrated tram rides along Stearman flight line (weather permitting) – 10:00 am – 6:00 pm – $1 per person
Poker run, fun flying, buddy hops, hangar flying
Food and Merchandise Vendors
