Bishop Hill Festival of the Arts

Enjoy the Midwest’s most versatile group of musicians, The RiverCity 6, Sunday, August 21 at 2 p.m. in the Bishop Hill Park.  This concert is part of the Bishop Hill Festival of the Arts.  The performance is free.  Bring a lawn chair as seating is limited.

Six instrumentalist playing 12 instruments plus vocals create the highly entertaining RiverCity 6.  This band performs a range of styles including Big Band Swing, Latin, Bebop, Chicago style Dixieland, and Country.  This project is supported by Quad City Arts Dollars, provided by the Illinois Arts Council Agency, Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, and John Deere.

Bishop Hill’s Festival of the Arts features music, a plein-air (art created “in the open air”) painting competition, hands-on activities for kids, an arts and craft show. The event is Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
