TURNPIKE TROUBADOURS, WHITEY MORGAN at the Illinois State Fair
Sunday, August 17 @ 8:00 pm

Turnpike Troubadours
For the final night of the 2025 Illinois State Fair, join the Turnpike Troubadours and Whitey Morgan for a night that’s bound to rock on Sunday, August 17.
After releasing five genre-defining albums and building a fiercely loyal fanbase, Turnpike Troubadours — the Tahlequah, Oklahoma kings of Red Dirt music — all but fell apart in 2019, taking a three-year hiatus to find clarity amidst the noise of a red-hot career. But after the break, something remarkable and even unprecedented happened: the band returned more popular than ever. Not to mention stronger.
In a career spanning more than 15 years, Whitey Morgan has released six studio albums and a live recording from his hometown of Flint, Michigan. Additionally, he has toured relentlessly, averaging over 125 shows annually. Rolling Stone has described him as a “Waylon Jennings acolyte…modern day outlaw [with a] hard hitting blue-collar brand of music,” while NPR hailed, “Staying close to the sound and subject matter of classic outlaw artists like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and David Allan Coe, Morgan is poised to lead this hand-worn brand of country to the next generation.”
