Polar Plunge 2017 at Lake Storey

144 brave souls took on the challenge of plunging into Lake Storey in Galesburg on Sunday, February 26, 2017, to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois during the annual Polar Plunge. It was a much warmer day than the last couple of years (45 degrees although very windy), but the water wasn’t any warmer!

Thank you to all of the plungers and to those that donated. Their efforts generated over $45,000 for Special Olympics Illinois! Crazy fun for a great cause!!
